ARA Foundation receives $123,500

The rental industry displayed its generosity to the ARA Foundation during The Rental Show in Las Vegas Feb. 11-14, as more than $123,500 was raised during the show to support the Foundation’s efforts.

A live equipment auction on Feb. 13, sponsored by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, raised $93,100, while a silent auction raised more than $10,500. More than $19,900 in other contributions was made to the Foundation, including at the auction and the Foundation booth on the trade show floor.

“I can’t tell you how amazed I am by the generosity of both the general and associate members with their support at The Rental Show,” said Bill Pedersen, chair of the ARA Foundation board of trustees. “The associate members responded by donating equipment for the auction, plus QUALCOMM sponsored the reception and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers sponsored the auction itself. Their generosity was matched by the attendees, who bid almost every item to its full value or more. The contributions made at the end of the auction and at the Foundation booth just added to the show’s success. I believe this amazing response shows the support of the industry for the Foundation and its programs. Thank you to all those involved!”
